Role overview
The Senior AI Engineer for the Enterprise AI team is responsible for designing, developing, deploying and operating enterprise AI solutions that enable scalable adoption of Generative AI, AI Agents, and AI-powered business processes across Danaher. This role focuses on AI Operations, AI platform enablement, model observability, governance, reliability, security, and lifecycle management while leveraging data engineering capabilities to support AI workloads and enterprise data integration. This position reports to the Manager of AI Ops and is part of the Danaher Enterprise AI solution team located in Bangalore, India and will be a remote role. At Danaher, 60,000+ associates work across the globe at more than 15 unique businesses within life sciences, diagnostics, and biotechnology.
Responsibilities
- Design, deploy, and operate enterprise Generative AI and agentic AI solutions using Large Language Models (LLMs)
- Implement LLMOps capabilities including prompt management, model evaluation, observability, monitoring, and performance optimization
- Define AI solution guardrails, safety controls, governance controls, model monitoring, cost optimization, and responsible AI practices
- Implement AI monitoring and alerting frameworks to proactively identify hallucinations, performance degradation, data drift, and operational risks
- Support AI platform operational activities including release management, model upgrades, testing, rollback strategies, and production support
- Evaluate emerging AI technologies and recommend enhancements to the enterprise AI platform
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines to integrate structured and unstructured data from sources such as APIs, CSVs, JSON files, databases, and third-party platforms
- Contribute to technical best practices, documentation, knowledge sharing, and continuous improvement initiatives
- Develop Data based applications and Dashboards that are critical for business which has high visibility
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Engineering, Data Science, or a related technical discipline with 4-6 years of experience
- Experience developing, deploying, or supporting Generative AI, LLM-based applications, AI agents, chatbot solutions, RAG systems, or conversational AI platforms
- Hands-on experience with Python development, SQL, API integrations, Snowflake, and modern cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
- Experience designing data pipelines, ETL/ELT frameworks, and enterprise-scale data integration solutions
- Experience supporting production systems with monitoring, incident resolution, performance optimization, operational controls, governance and release management
Nice to have
- Experience delivering AI, analytics, or digital transformation solutions in healthcare, life sciences, diagnostics, or other regulated industries
- Experience with GenAI technologies, Azure OpenAI, RAG architectures, agentic AI solutions, and Responsible AI practices
