Role overview
The role provides support to the project management team on all quality‑related issues, ensuring objectives are met in terms of quality, supplier and subcontractor performance, and customer satisfaction. It leads implementation, maturity assessment and improvement of processes across the value chain, works closely with customers on quality matters, coaches team members, and drives risk mitigation, lessons‑learned analysis, and compliance throughout the project lifecycle.
Responsibilities
- Ensures support to the project management team regarding all quality related issues on projects to support its objective achievement in terms of quality, supplier & subcontractor quality, and customer satisfaction.
- Leads the implementation, maturity assessment and improvement of all processes along the entire value chain to improve customer satisfaction and increase profitability in a safe working environment across the project.
- Cooperates with the customer on Project Quality issues and ensures ownership of actions to resolve them.
- Enables and coaches all project team members to evaluate risks, problems and solutions from a quality and customer/stakeholder point of view.
- Analyzes transferability of experience between projects as well as plans Quality Assurance activities to reduce all forms of risk.
- Collaborates with the project team to develop schedules, estimates, forecasts, and budgets for quality activities.
- Assists the PQM in ensuring the Voice of the Customer (VoC) is represented within the project for all quality matters during execution.
- Ensures administration of VoC is done in agreement with PQM and consolidates customer experience feedback and input for teams to support decision making.
- Provides assistance to evaluating risks, problems and solutions from a customer/stakeholder point of view.
- Supports the analysis of Lessons Learned (LL) / Transfer of Experience (ToE) from previous projects.
- Supports PQM in collaboration with project team members to develop schedules, estimates, forecasts, and budgets for quality activities.
- Utilizes Power Grids aligned systems and tools to assist PQM and project functions during execution to meet operational and customer expectations throughout their lifecycle.
- Applies project quality procedures and plans and ensures appropriate implementation and compliance by the project team.
- Assists in the implementation of effective internal controls (project, supply and site) to verify that processes will meet customer and stakeholder requirements.
- Validates that control plans are applied and effective in mitigating known risks.
- Supports PQM to ensure compliance versus Project Execution Plan and administers NC’s and ITP’s.
- Supports administration related to customer inspections and witness points.
- Supports and administers audits on project delivery and ensures the use of analytics of quality data from all parts of the operation to identify risks, failures and nonconformances within the local business, its suppliers and customers.
- Supports follow‑up of corrective and preventive actions, ensuring timely closure.
- Assists in providing quality training to project teams enabling them to use and manage the appropriate quality systems and tools.
- Administers quality trainings.
- Ensures compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.

Requirements
- University degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or a related field is required.
- More than 10 years of experience as a Project Quality Management professional within reputable Engineering or EPC companies comparable to the Hitachi Energy business portfolio.
- Proven experience in Project Quality Management, including independent development of Project Quality Plans and handling of QCP (Quality Control Plans), MQP (Manufacturing Quality Plans), and ITPs (Inspection and Test Plans) with relevant stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to contribute to change within dynamic, international, and fast‑paced environments.
- Excellent analytical abilities and a strong orientation toward data‑driven decision‑making.
- Proficiency in problem‑solving, managing non‑conformance reports (NCR), and effective communication.
- Comprehensive knowledge of the organization and area of operations.
- Ability to work independently while demonstrating a strong team‑oriented mindset.
- Strong communication skills with the capability to manage relationships with a large number of stakeholders.
- Full proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (including Excel and Access) and Office 365 collaborative tools.
- Proficiency in both spoken and written English language.
Nice to have
- Preference will be given to candidates with a degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering, with particular emphasis on Electrical Engineering.
- Candidates who possess a Green Belt (GB) certification or higher will be given preference.
