Role overview
Join Vonage, a global cloud communications leader, to innovate cloud communications for businesses worldwide. The role focuses on leading technical design and development of AEM-based projects, guiding engineering teams, ensuring code quality, and aligning solutions with business goals while collaborating with project managers, stakeholders, and marketing.
Responsibilities
- Lead the technical design and development of AEM projects, guiding the engineering team and ensuring code quality.
- Align solutions with business goals and technical standards.
- Collaborate with project managers and business stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions.
- Implement A/B Tests in Adobe Target based on requirements.
- Lead the design and implementation of AEM-based architectures to support digital marketing strategies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate AEM solutions with existing systems.
- Design caching and security strategies (Dispatcher, firewall, CDN).
- Define strategies to support multi-site and multi-language web applications leveraging AEM capabilities.
- Create and manage A/B and multivariate tests with Audience Segmentation from 6sense using Adobe Target and leverage A4T to enhance analytics data.
- Integrate third‑party applications (SalesForce, OneTrust, 6sense) and Adobe products (Target, Launch, Analytics, CJA) with AEM.
- Provision access using Adobe Admin Console, work with Adobe Support, and handle production deployments via Adobe Cloud Manager.
- Develop and oversee OSGI bundles, AEM templates, HTL/Sightly components and services, AEM launches, workflows, localization features, AEM Mobile and Forms applications, and the AEM DAM.
- Manage components, templates, taxonomy, metadata management, forward and reverse replication, workflows, content publishing/unpublishing, tagging, Maven deployments, and content migration/planning.
- Work with Single Page Application frameworks such as Vue.js and React alongside AEM backend frameworks.
- Provide expert guidance on AEM system engineering and support engineering best practices for future‑proof solutions.
- Apply deep understanding of system architecture including high availability, disaster recovery, caching, CDN, and persistence layers.
- Work closely with the Marketing team to understand needs and translate them into effective technical solutions.
- Provide ongoing technical support to business units and a team of AEM engineers, functional SMEs, and business analysts.
- Follow Agile development methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) and test‑driven development practices.
Requirements
- Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
- 10+ years of hands‑on AEM development experience with strong foundation in Java, Sling, OSGi, JCR, and Apache Web Server.
- 5+ years of experience leading AEM architecture and delivery teams in client‑facing applications.
- Proven ability to lead design and implementation of AEM‑based architectures.
- Strong hands‑on experience with components, templates, taxonomy, metadata management, replication, workflows, content publishing, tagging, Maven deployment, and content migration/planning.
- Experience provisioning access via Adobe Admin Console and handling production deployments using Adobe Cloud Manager.
- Familiarity with Agile development methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) and test‑driven development practices.
Nice to have
- Experience with Single Page Application frameworks such as Vue.js and React.
- Deep understanding and experience with the full Adobe Suite (AEM, Target, Launch, Analytics, Customer Journey Analytics).
- Proven track record of launching complex, enterprise‑level platforms using AEM Cloud Service or AEM 6.5.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills for engaging executive stakeholders and engineering teams.
- Experience integrating with third‑party applications (SalesForce, OneTrust, 6sense) and Adobe products.
- Knowledge of system architecture aspects like high availability, disaster recovery, caching, CDN, and persistence layers.
