Role overview
We’re in an unbelievably exciting area of tech and are fundamentally reshaping the data storage industry. As the Engineering Manager for Drive Qualification, you will lead a high‑performing Bangalore team dedicated to validating Everpure‑developed SSDs across performance, reliability, and firmware maturity, owning the end‑to‑end validation strategy for hyperscale and datastore programs.
Responsibilities
- Lead and scale a multi‑level validation engineering team, coaching, mentoring and fostering a culture of ownership, clear domain expertise, and continuous career development.
- Own the execution roadmap for core qualification domains (including PCIe, NVMe/OCP, and power‑loss robustness) across critical milestone gates from engineering samples to final product release.
- Partner with global hardware, firmware, and program management stakeholders to align on test coverage, coordinate issue triage, and deliver clear risk assessments that dictate release readiness.
- Champion the expansion of Python and Linux‑based automation frameworks, regression infrastructure, and data dashboards to scale testing efficiency and execution velocity.
- Lead a high‑performing Bangalore team dedicated to validating Everpure‑developed SSDs across performance, reliability, and firmware maturity.
Requirements
- Proven capability in leading, mentoring, and scaling technical validation or engineering teams within enterprise storage, SSD, firmware, or complex platform testing environments.
- Robust knowledge of system‑level stress testing, SSD qualification workflows, or industry standards such as PCIe, NVMe, and OCP.
- Demonstrated ability to manage complex technical timelines, translate business objectives into validation roadmaps, and communicate quality risks clearly to diverse technical audiences.
- Practical familiarity with Python/Linux test environments, CI/CD pipelines, and data‑driven dashboards to optimize scalable testing workflows.
- Location requirement: must work from the Bangalore, India office in compliance with Everpure’s policies (unless on PTO, work travel, or other approved leave).
