Responsibilities
- Take full ownership of complex, large-scale projects spanning multiple disciplines, driving them from conception to completion
- Partner with internal and external vendors to deliver high-impact initiatives
- Build and nurture strong, cross-functional relationships with engineering, design, and product teams
- Develop and maintain scalable architecture that supports both current needs and future growth
- Champion best practices and innovation while continuously improving processes and systems
- Serve as a technical resource and mentor to other engineers, sharing knowledge and guiding development efforts
Requirements
- Minimum 8+ years of professional software engineering experience
- Deep expertise with PHP, along with a solid grasp of Object-Oriented Programming, design patterns, and modern web frameworks
- Hands-on experience with MySQL database optimization and querying
- Proficiency in Linux/Unix environments, Git version control, and CI/CD pipelines
- Track record of architecting and deploying production systems at scale
- Experience working across multiple languages and environments including Node.js, Python, C++, and C#
Nice to have
- Exposure to Go or Rust
- Background with NoSQL databases like DynamoDB, Cassandra, or MongoDB
- Familiarity with event-driven architectures and Kafka
- Experience with distributed systems and microservices
- Knowledge of AWS infrastructure and services
- Understanding of agile development methodologies
