Job Title: UI/UX Designer (Full-time, Based in Dubai) Company: knothome.com carpetcentre.com https://knottingmatters.com/ Instagram: @knothomedotcom @carpetcentre_official Reports to: Product & Ecomm Head About the Role We're looking for a UI/UX Designer who is passionate about creating seamless shopping experiences that drive customer engagement and conversions. You will work across Carpet Centre, Knot Home, and Knotting Matters, designing customer experiences for multiple eCommerce stores across the GCC and international markets. Beyond creating beautiful interfaces, you'll continuously test, analyze, and improve the user journey to increase conversion rates, reduce friction, and enhance the overall shopping experience. This role requires someone who combines creative design thinking with analytical problem-solving, understands eCommerce best practices, and is comfortable working in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities Design intuitive and engaging user experiences across desktop and mobile eCommerce websites. Conduct UX research and analyze customer behavior using qualitative and quantitative insights. Create user personas, customer journey maps, user flows, wireframes, and interactive prototypes. Design high-fidelity interfaces that align with brand identity while optimizing usability and conversions. Improve key customer journeys. Collaborate with Marketing, E-commerce, Product, Developers, and CRO teams to improve website performance. Plan, conduct, and document usability testing sessions with real users. Perform UI/UX audits and identify friction points affecting conversion rates. Validate designs through A/B testing, heatmaps, session recordings, customer feedback, and analytics. Work closely with developers to ensure pixel-perfect implementation and smooth design handoff. Maintain and evolve the company's design system, reusable UI components, and documentation. Monitor website performance and continuously recommend UX improvements based on customer behavior and business goals. Stay updated with global eCommerce UX trends, accessibility standards, and emerging design practices. Minimum Qualifications 6–8 years of UI/UX design experience, with at least 3 years in eCommerce. Strong portfolio demonstrating end-to-end UX thinking and high-quality UI execution. Hands-on experience designing responsive websites for desktop and mobile. Strong understanding of eCommerce customer journeys and conversion optimization. Experience designing for Shopify, Shopify Plus, Magento, WooCommerce, or similar eCommerce platforms. Expertise in Figma (mandatory), FigJam, Adobe Creative Suite, and modern prototyping tools. Experience conducting usability testing, heuristic evaluations, and UX audits. Familiarity with tools such as Microsoft Clarity, Hotjar, Google Analytics (GA4), or similar user behavior platforms. Experience collaborating with developers and preparing detailed design specifications. Understanding of responsive design, accessibility (WCAG), and front-end constraints (HTML/CSS knowledge preferred; coding not required). Strong understanding of typography, layout, spacing, color systems, interaction design, and visual hierarchy. Ability to translate business objectives and customer insights into intuitive digital experiences. Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills. Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
