Product Designer Location : Marol, Andheri East, Mumbai (On-site) It is Full-time role Working days and time : Mon–Fri 9:30 AM–6:30 PM, Saturday WFH About Gajab India bargains. E-commerce forgot. Gajab is building India's first gamified bargaining marketplace where shopping is interactive, social, and rewarding. We're reimagining commerce around participation, negotiation, and engagement for Tier 2/3 India. The Role We're looking for a Product Designer who solves problems, not just decorates screens. If you've worked on interaction design, motion, micro-interactions, delightful product experiences, or products with high user engagement we'd love to talk. We care more about how you think than the number of years on your resume. What You'll Do Product & Interaction Design Design intuitive web and mobile experiences from concept to polished UI Own end-to-end feature design discovery, wire frames, prototypes, and final interfaces Think deeply about user journeys, edge cases, micro-interactions, and conversion Think through edge cases and empty states to create polished, production-ready experiences Create wire frames, user flows, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs in Figma Collaboration & Execution Partner closely with Product, Engineering, Growth, and Brand to build experiences users love Leverage AI tools to explore ideas faster, improve workflows, and increase design quality Continuously test, learn, and improve based on user feedback and data Design Systems & Quality • Help evolve Gajab's design system and raise the quality bar across the product • Maintain consistency across all surfaces web, mobile, and interactive flows What Success Looks Like in 60 Days Explore, design, and iterate on 5–10 product experiments or interaction concepts, shipping the most promising ideas to production. Own end-to-end feature design from discovery and wireframes through prototypes to production-ready handoff. Improve key user journeys through user feedback, product data, and rapid iteration. Contribute meaningful improvements to Gajab's design system, including reusable components and interaction patterns. Build a strong execution rhythm with Product, Engineering, and Growth by moving quickly from idea → prototype → validation → iteration. Demonstrate the ability to balance speed with quality while maintaining a high bar for usability, interaction design, and visual craftsmanship. Must-Haves Has built digital products with enough depth to independently solve product and UX problems • A portfolio demonstrating strong product thinking and interaction design not just visual polish Thinks from first principles; can explain the reasoning behind every design decision Experience designing engaging interactions, animations, or high-retention product flows Can balance business goals, user needs, and engineering constraints while making decisions Detail-oriented cares about the small interactions that make a product feel intuitive Proficient in Figma, prototyping tools, and modern AI design tools Thrives in a fast-moving startup environment and is comfortable shipping quickly Nice-to-Haves Experience designing consumer internet, e-commerce, marketplace, fintech, or gaming products Built side projects, games, or interactive prototypes independently Experience shipping features end-to-end and measuring their impact Participated in hackathons or design competitions Experience using motion to enhance usability not just aesthetics Written UX copy or worked closely with a content designer This Role Isn't For You If You follow design trends instead of questioning them You can't explain why you made a design decision beyond "it looks better" You need a fully defined brief before starting ambiguity makes you uncomfortable You're looking for a role where design is downstream of product, not a co-creator of it Why Join Gajab Design decisions here directly shape a category-defining product no layers between you and impact Direct access to founders and cross-functional teams Freedom to experiment with unconventional interaction patterns Access to the latest AI tools in a highly collaborative design, product, and engineering culture If you're excited about building products that millions of Indians could use every day, we'd love to see your portfolio.
