Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain enterprise CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions or Azure DevOps.
- Implement GitOps practices for application and infrastructure deployments.
- Automate software deployments across DEV, QA, UAT, and Production environments.
- Configure approval gates, release strategies, and branch protection policies.
- Develop rollback and recovery mechanisms for production deployments.
- Build reusable deployment templates and shared pipeline libraries.
- Automate Control-M job deployment using Control-M Automation API (AAPI).
- Manage Control-M Job Definitions as code using JSON.
- Develop deployment automation using the ctm CLI.
- Implement environment promotion workflows.
- Automate export, validation, and deployment of Control-M jobs.
- Maintain version-controlled Control-M job repositories.
- Develop and maintain Bash/Shell automation scripts.
- Automate deployment of shell scripts to NAS environments.
- Perform Linux administration and troubleshooting.
- Implement ShellCheck and code quality validation.
- Manage deployment permissions and execution environments.
- Implement automated deployment strategies.
- Build release pipelines with approval workflows.
- Configure deployment validation and health checks.
- Support production releases and emergency deployments.
- Implement rollback strategies for failed releases.
- Maintain deployment documentation and release procedures.
- Automate infrastructure provisioning where required.
- Support Infrastructure-as-Code initiatives.
- Manage environment configurations.
- Implement configuration management best practices.
- Collaborate with infrastructure and cloud teams.
- Implement secure deployment pipelines.
- Manage secrets using enterprise secret management solutions.
- Configure RBAC and least-privilege access.
- Ensure deployment auditability and compliance.
- Support change management processes in regulated environments.
- Monitor CI/CD pipelines and deployment health.
- Troubleshoot deployment failures.
- Improve deployment reliability and performance.
- Build operational dashboards and deployment metrics.
- Support production incidents related to deployments.
- Work closely with Solution Architects, Java Engineers, QA teams, and Production Support teams to automate application and Control-M job deployments while ensuring secure, auditable, and compliant release processes.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
- 6–10+ years of DevOps engineering experience.
- Hands-on experience implementing enterprise CI/CD platforms.
- Strong experience with GitOps and deployment automation.
- Experience automating Control-M deployments using AAPI.
- Experience working in regulated environments such as Banking, Financial Services, or Insurance.
- Experience supporting production releases with strict governance and audit requirements.
- CI/CD: GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps Pipelines, Multi-stage deployment pipelines, Release Management, Pipeline Automation, Build Automation, Deployment Strategies.
- Git: Git, GitHub Enterprise, GitOps, Pull Requests, Branch Protection Rules, Git Flow / Trunk-Based Development, Version Control Best Practices.
- Control-M (Mandatory): BMC Control-M, Control-M Automation API (AAPI), ctm CLI, Job Definition Management, JSON Job Definitions, Control-M Deployment Automation, Batch Scheduling.
- Linux: Linux Administration, Bash, Shell Scripting, ShellCheck, SSH, Cron, File Permissions, Process Management.
- DevOps: CI/CD Best Practices, Release Automation, Deployment Automation, Configuration Management, Environment Management, Release Governance, Deployment Validation.
- Infrastructure: Experience with one or more: Terraform, Ansible, Bicep, ARM Templates.
- Cloud Platforms: Preferred experience with Microsoft Azure, Azure DevOps, Azure Storage, Azure Virtual Machines, Azure Key Vault. Exposure to AWS is an added advantage.
- Monitoring: Experience with Pipeline Monitoring, Deployment Logs, Operational Dashboards, Audit Logs, Alerting, Incident Analysis.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong documentation and technical writing skills.
- Experience working in Agile and DevOps teams.
- Continuous improvement mindset with a passion for automation.
