Role overview
WebEngage is a customer data platform and marketing automation suite that simplifies and enhances user engagement and retention for consumer tech enterprises and SMBs. Recognized by G2 as a Marketing Automation Leader in Asia 2021, the platform helps brands drive revenue through highly contextual, hyper-personalized engagement campaigns across 10 communication channels. The role involves leading the UX design for WebEngage’s main product (marketing automation suite) and mobile app, creating digital products from a user’s perspective, and ensuring alignment with user and business goals.
Responsibilities
- Translate concepts into user flows, wireframes, mockups, and prototypes that lead to intuitive, elegant user experiences
- Research, conceive, sketch, prototype and user test experiences to create best user experiences for product vision
- Design and deliver UI design with specifications optimized for a wide range of devices and interfaces
- Identify design problems and devise elegant solutions
- Make strategic design and user-experience decisions related to core, and new, functions and features
- Take a user-centric design approach and rapidly test and iterate your designs. Make logic driven design choices
- Collaborate with other team members and stakeholders especially product & engineering managers
- Clearly and effectively communicate design processes, ideas, and solutions to teams and clients
- Devise interaction strategies in sync with user goals and clients' business goals
- Develops navigation and structure, designs wireframes or interactive prototypes, organizes content
- Tirelessly advocate for the needs and goals of real users
- Perform usability assessments and tests on our software to devise further actions for improvising the entire experience
Requirements
- 3+ years as a Product Researcher, UX Designer, UI Designer, or similar role
- Has extensive experience in using UX design best practices to design solutions
- A deep understanding of mobile-first and responsive design
- Has previously designed significant components of a product (as a web application)
- Strong portfolio to be presented during interview (preferably Behance/Figma/own website)
- Familiarity with interaction design and information architecture
- Proficient in design software (like Figma or others)
- Problem-solving aptitude
- Excellent collaboration and communication skills
Nice to have
- Knowledge of HTML/CSS or JavaScript is a plus
