We are seeking a DevOps Engineer to manage and improve the infrastructure, tools, and processes for Vonage's unified communication platforms. The role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure reliability, scalability, and security, while driving continuous improvement in our systems, and working on leading-edge technology that powers millions of users and businesses worldwide.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure site reliability and performance.
- Work with security teams to enforce best practices and security protocols.
- Manage and optimize AWS infrastructure and Linux systems.
- Administer and fine-tune MySQL databases and MongoDB clusters.
- Maintain and improve CI/CD pipelines for streamlined deployment.
- Implement monitoring solutions to ensure optimal system performance.
- Troubleshoot infrastructure issues and implement proactive measures.
- Continuously evaluate and implement new tools and technologies to enhance processes and productivity.
Requirements
- 7+ years of overall software development experience, including at least 6 years of hands-on experience as a DevOps Engineer.
- Expertise in AWS, Linux systems, MySQL, MongoDB, and enterprise tools.
- Experience with Docker, Terraform, and CI/CD tools.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills in complex environments.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Nice to have
- Experience with Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban).
- Familiarity with Kubernetes, Ansible, and Docker Compose.
