Avahi is seeking an AWS DevOps Engineer to join their global, remote-first team. This role involves driving the architecture, implementation, and management of AWS infrastructure, migration, modernization, and DevOps practices. The ideal candidate will shape the technical landscape, optimize project delivery processes, and contribute to the company’s success in a collaborative and innovative environment.
Responsibilities
- Lead the design, implementation, and management of scalable, secure, and efficient AWS infrastructure.
- Drive end-to-end AWS migration initiatives, ensuring seamless transition from legacy systems to modernized cloud solutions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and execute DevOps best practices, automation strategies, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Architect and optimize system and application deployment strategies for high availability, fault tolerance, and performance.
- Design and establish internal processes and workflows for efficient project delivery, ensuring streamlined collaboration between development, operations, and other teams.
- Implement and manage containerization solutions using Kubernetes and Docker for application deployment and scalability.
- Utilize CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions, AWS CodeSuite, and CircleCI to automate the software delivery pipeline and ensure continuous integration and deployment.
- Apply the AWS Well-Architected Framework principles to ensure reliable, secure, efficient, and cost-effective infrastructure.
- Stay informed about the latest trends and advancements in the field of Data, ML, and AI, and leverage this knowledge to enhance technical solutions.
- Mentor and guide junior team members, fostering a culture of learning and knowledge sharing.
Requirements
- Extensive hands-on experience with AWS services, including but not limited to EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, CloudFormation, EKS, ECS etc.
- Proven track record of successful AWS migration and modernization projects.
- Strong proficiency in DevOps practices and tools, with experience in Kubernetes, Docker, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools like GitHub Actions, AWS CodeSuite, and CircleCI.
- Solid understanding of infrastructure as code (IaC) principles and hands-on experience with related tools (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation).
- Experience with the AWS Well-Architected Framework and best practices.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex issues.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
