We are looking for a skilled Data Engineer with strong expertise in Snowflake and DBT (data build tool) to design, build, and scale our modern data platform. You will transform raw data into clean, tested, and high‑performance analytical models to support business intelligence and data science teams.
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain modular ELT data pipelines using Snowflake and DBT across staging, intermediate, and mart layers.
- Implement dimensional data modelling (Kimball methodology) and design scalable schemas.
- Optimize complex SQL queries, virtual warehouses, and incremental DBT models for cost and speed.
- Write automated data tests (uniqueness, relationships, custom assertions) and maintain DBT documentation.
- Manage code using Git, integrate dbt projects with CI/CD deployment workflows, and handle orchestration.
Requirements
- 3 to 8 years of hands‑on data engineering experience.
- Deep knowledge of Snowflake architecture, virtual warehouse sizing, Time Travel, Tasks, and Streams.
- Strong command over DBT core/cloud, macros, packages, and incremental loading strategies.
- Advanced analytical SQL skills.
- Basic Python knowledge for scripting or orchestration.
- Familiarity with Git, Agile practices, and orchestrators like Apache Airflow or DBT Cloud.
