Thiess is seeking an experienced and motivated Senior Network Engineer to join the ICH – Technical & Assets Services team in Gurugram, India. As a key team member, you will architect, maintain, and optimize Thiess' global network infrastructure, ensuring reliable and secure connectivity across mining operations and corporate environments worldwide. Responsibilities
- Design, implement and maintain enterprise network infrastructure including LAN, WAN, SD-WAN and cloud connectivity solutions across Thiess' global operations
- Lead troubleshooting and resolution of complex network incidents, ensuring minimal disruption to business-critical mining and corporate systems
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives, identifying opportunities to enhance network performance, resilience and security posture
- Collaborate with cross-functional ICH teams and operational stakeholders to deliver network solutions aligned with Thiess' technology roadmap
Requirements
- Degree in Information Technology, Network Engineering or a related discipline, or equivalent industry experience
- Minimum 6 years of hands-on experience in enterprise network engineering, with demonstrated expertise in Cisco and/or Fortinet technologies
- Proficiency in routing protocols (BGP, OSPF), firewall management and network security frameworks
- Experience supporting geographically dispersed environments, ideally within mining, resources or similarly complex operational sectors
- Strong stakeholder communication skills and the ability to translate technical requirements into operational outcomes for Thiess project and site teams
Nice to have
- Relevant certifications such as CCNP, CCIE or equivalent are highly regarded
