The Manual QA Engineer will ensure the quality, stability, and performance of Payall Payment Systems' fintech platform by collaborating with cross-functional teams, designing and executing manual test cases, performing end-to-end testing of workflows, and validating data accuracy. The role involves reviewing product requirements, documenting defects, maintaining QA documentation, participating in Agile ceremonies, and contributing to continuous improvement of QA processes.
Responsibilities
- Review product requirements and collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand use cases and acceptance criteria
- Design, maintain, and execute detailed manual test cases for functional, regression, and exploratory testing
- Identify, document, and track defects using bug tracking tools (e.g., JIRA), and work with developers to resolve them
- Perform end-to-end testing of workflows, including user interfaces, APIs, and third-party integrations
- Validate data accuracy across systems, particularly in financial and transaction flows
- Participate in sprint planning, daily standups, and QA retrospectives as part of the Agile development cycle
- Help maintain QA documentation, including test plans, testing procedures, and release checklists
- Contribute to continuous improvement of QA processes and standards
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in manual software testing, preferably in a fintech or highly regulated environment
- Strong understanding of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes
- Experience testing web and mobile applications
- Familiarity with REST APIs and tools like Postman for manual API testing
- Basic understanding of databases and ability to write simple SQL queries
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum teams
- Hands-on experience using AI tools within the testing lifecycle, generating test cases and test data, authoring or maintaining automated tests, and analyzing failures with sound judgment about validating AI output
