Database Administrator/Consultant

IBM Db2 DBA Consultant | Remote (Preferred Bangalore) We're hiring an experienced IBM Db2 Database Administrator to support enterprise database environments for global clients. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys managing mission-critical databases, improving performance, ensuring high availability, and working on modernization initiatives. You'll work closely with infrastructure teams, application owners, and client stakeholders to deliver reliable, secure, and scalable database solutions. What You'll Do Administer and maintain production, non-production, and disaster recovery Db2 environments. Perform database installations, upgrades, patching, backups, recovery, and migrations. Monitor database performance and resolve complex production issues. Configure and support high-availability environments using HADR and PowerHA/TSA. Optimize SQL performance and improve database efficiency. Strengthen database security, compliance, and governance. Automate operational tasks using Shell scripting, Python, or Ansible. Participate in database modernization and cloud transformation we're looking for Strong experience with IBM Db2 LUW on Linux. Experience with Db2 for IBM i (AS/400). Hands-on expertise in Backup & Recovery and HADR. Knowledge of IBM Navigator for i, IBM Data Studio, and CLP. Experience with IBM Power Systems administration. Strong SQL performance tuning skills. Comfortable working in Linux/Unix environments. Nice to have Experience with automation tools like Ansible. Python or Shell scripting expertise.
