Abstra is seeking a Senior C# .NET Software Engineer to join a high-energy, empowered scrum team. The role focuses on delivering high-quality software solutions through rapid development, automation, and continuous release practices while providing technical leadership and guidance to the team.
Responsibilities
- Write beautiful code using industry-standard engineering practices.
- Deliver solutions that adhere to software architecture strategy, coding standards, and established organizational policies and procedures.
- Provide technical guidance to others in areas of expertise.
- Analyse software requirements to determine the best solution to deliver business goals, including estimating and planning throughout an agile software development lifecycle.
- Modify codebase to implement complex software modifications following appropriate standards for coding and design patterns, source code control, unit testing, and continuous integration and deployment.
- Analyse and troubleshoot complex errors in software applications to determine root cause and resolution.
- Assist with testing and written description of application software changes.
- Collaborate with team members, actively participate in all Scrum ceremonies and activities, including pair programming and peer code review.
- Lead or assist in technical research initiatives, sometimes working with other teams.
- Protect, secure, and properly handle all confidential data to ensure against unauthorized access, improper transmission, and/or unapproved disclosure.
Requirements
- Technical leadership skills for effective participation in design discussions with both technical and non-technical audiences, creating technical documentation and diagrams.
- Strong understanding of good object-oriented design principles (patterns, cohesion/coupling, S.O.L.I.D., data structures, and algorithms).
- Strong experience writing clean and maintainable code using engineering best practices (unit testing, TDD, CI/CD, automation, design patterns, refactoring).
- Minimum 5 years of professional experience developing software & systems on the Microsoft Technology Stack using C# and .NET.
- Basic experience with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
- Strong experience with a relational database such as Sybase, MSSQL, Oracle.
- Experience with distributed systems, Service-Oriented Architecture, RESTful services, and Microservices development (mandatory).
- Good understanding of web technologies such as HTTP and Apache HTTP.
- Experience with multi-threaded applications and memory management.
- Experience with continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD), automation, and related tools.
- Experience with at least one modern JavaScript front-end framework (ReactJS, KnockoutJS, Angular, Bootstrap).
- Experience using and implementing AI tools to enhance automation, analytics, or testing capabilities.
- Experience documenting business solutions in technical documents and diagrams.
- Working experience with C, C++, Python, Apache, Nginx, Redis, jQuery, PowerShell, or other scripting languages.
- Experience with Containerization, Docker & Kubernetes.
- Experience working with legacy code.
- Experience with Agile SDLC practices.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and troubleshooting skills.
- Strong soft skills: clear verbal and written communication, collaboration, proactivity, accountability, adaptability, emotional intelligence, time management, resilience, continuous learning, and attention to detail.
