The Data Scientist role involves applying expertise in machine learning, data mining, and information retrieval to design, prototype, and build AI engines and services, collaborating with business partners to define technical problem statements and develop analytical models that drive business decisions.
Responsibilities
- Identify opportunities for leveraging data to drive business solutions in Digital marketing and Product management
- Mine, transform and analyze data from different sources (CRM, Digital analytics UI, external sources data)
- Conduct advanced statistical analysis to provide actionable insights, identify trends, and measure performance
- Design, create, test and implement data models that drive analytical solutions throughout the organization
- Apply A/B testing framework to test models' quality and integrate data insights into the business processes
- Coordinate with different functional teams to implement models, design processes and tools to monitor and analyze model performance and data accuracy
Requirements
- MS/PhD (Computer Science or Electronics), or MS in Computer Applications, Economics, Statistics or Mathematics or related technical discipline
- 6+ years’ experience in a statistical and/or data science / data analyst role
- Should have experience in machine learning, statistics and data mining to solve clustering, classification, regression problems
- Experience to merge and transform disparate internal & external data sets together to create new features
- Experience with R/Python is required
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Openness to working in Agile environments with multiple stakeholders
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to understand business partner needs and deliver solutions
- Professional attitude and service orientation; team player
- Quick learner to business needs and translate them into potential analytics solutions
- Number sense; healthy skepticism around validity of data and its inherent biases
- Good verbal and written communication skills
