At Sangoma, we're looking for a Senior QA Engineer who is passionate about delivering high-quality software and exceptional customer experiences. In this role, you'll play a critical part in ensuring the quality, reliability, scalability, and performance of our cloud communications platforms and frontend applications, working closely with Software Engineering, Product Management, DevOps, Technical Support, and fellow QA engineers throughout the software development lifecycle.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scenarios for UCaaS, CCaaS, and frontend applications
- Execute functional, regression, integration, system, API, compatibility, performance, and end-to-end testing
- Collaborate with Engineering, Product Management, DevOps, and Technical Support teams to identify, reproduce, troubleshoot, and resolve software defects and customer-reported issues
- Analyze application behavior, logs, network traffic, and SIP traces to identify root causes and validate fixes
- Verify new features, enhancements, and bug fixes to ensure they meet quality, functionality, and usability requirements
- Participate in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, backlog refinement, sprint reviews, and release readiness activities
- Contribute to improving QA processes, testing methodologies, documentation, and overall test coverage
- Mentor junior QA engineers through technical guidance, code and test reviews, and best practice sharing
- Maintain accurate test documentation and provide clear reporting on testing progress, quality metrics, and release readiness
- Stay up to date with emerging QA tools, automation technologies, and industry best practices
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
- 7+ years of experience in Software Quality Assurance, including testing complex VoIP, web, and cloud-based applications
- Strong understanding of software testing methodologies, SDLC, Agile/Scrum practices, and QA best practices
- Experience designing and executing functional, regression, integration, system, API, performance, and end-to-end testing
- Hands-on experience with test automation frameworks such as Selenium, Playwright, or similar tools
- Experience testing REST APIs using Postman, Swagger, or equivalent tools
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps tools such as Jenkins and GitHub
- Experience using defect tracking and test management tools such as Jira, Zephyr, TestRail, or Xray
- Strong experience analyzing application logs, network traffic, and debugging complex software issues
- Working knowledge of SQL and databases for data validation and troubleshooting
- Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively across cross-functional teams
- Ability to mentor junior QA engineers and champion QA best practices
- Self-motivated with excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

- Experience with UCaaS, CCaaS, VoIP, SIP, or real-time communications technologies is highly desirable
