As a User Experience Designer at Thales, your work will help companies build trusted identities and access for their employees and customers. You will contribute to the design of experiences that meet user needs and business objectives, collaborating with design teammates, UX leaders, business, product, and engineering stakeholders. Thales is a global technology leader in aerospace, space, cybersecurity, and digital identity, with a strong presence in India since 1953, including engineering competence centres in Noida and Bengaluru, and an MRO facility in Gurugram.
Responsibilities
- Turns abstract ideas into representations at the right level of fidelity (sketches, journey maps, wireframes, high-fidelity visual comps, and prototypes) to get user feedback and align the product team.
- Present design concepts and deliverables to stakeholders, defending the data-based rationale behind design decisions.
- Create adaptive and responsive product designs for workflows across mobile, tablet, and desktop experiences with a mobile-first approach.
- Plan and lead cross-functional product team collaborations that create forward-thinking ideas, innovative user experiences, and intellectual capital with positive market outcomes.
- Use storytelling to align a product team to a shared product vision.
- Coach a product team to plan for and execute design discovery, design vision, and design delivery processes, including planning for evaluative and generative design research, iterative design, and usability testing.
- Collaborate with user research, help collect and synthesize data into actionable insights demonstrated in user outcomes.
- Engage in design debates and iterate designs based on feedback.
Requirements
- 9-14 years of experience as a UX Designer.
- Master’s degree in Design, Product Design, or Interaction/Experience Design.
- Demonstrated experience with methods such as storytelling, team collaboration, software development lifecycle, user-centered design, design thinking, design principles, heuristics, design testing, user feedback, and iterative design.
- Mastery of product design processes including product development lifecycle, user-centered design, design thinking, design principles, heuristics, design testing, user feedback, and iterative design.
- Excellence in written and verbal communication skills, including user, product team, and stakeholder interactions and presentations.
- Experience working in a fast-paced software development environment.
- Experience with AI-powered design and development tools to drive efficiency and high velocity.
- An online portfolio or samples of work demonstrating user-centered design craft, visualizations of complex experiences, storytelling, sketches, mock-ups, prototypes, etc.
- Naturally curious with demonstrated excellence in critical thinking and tackling complex problems.
