We are looking for a skilled Network Engineer (L2) with 5‑8 years of experience in managing enterprise network infrastructure within a manufacturing or plant environment. The ideal candidate will handle LAN/WAN administration, Cisco networking devices, firewalls, VPNs, enterprise Wi‑Fi, IP telephony, and network security while supporting a large‑scale IT infrastructure to ensure high availability, performance, and compliance.
Responsibilities
- Manage and support LAN/WAN infrastructure across plant and office locations.
- Configure and troubleshoot VLANs, Inter‑VLAN Routing, STP/RSTP, NAT, ACLs, and QoS.
- Configure, manage, and maintain Cisco networking devices (Switches & Routers).
- Administer and troubleshoot Fortinet/Sophos firewalls.
- Configure and manage IPSec VPNs, bandwidth management, traffic shaping, and WAN failover.
- Manage OFC backbone infrastructure and SFP modules.
- Deploy and support enterprise Wi‑Fi and IP Telephony solutions.
- Configure, monitor, and maintain CCTV network infrastructure (500+ camera environment preferred).
- Manage Video Conferencing (VC) infrastructure.
- Coordinate with ISPs and hardware vendors for network connectivity and issue resolution.
- Maintain network documentation, asset records, and ensure audit compliance.
- Monitor network performance and proactively resolve network issues.
Requirements
- 5‑8 years of relevant experience.
- BE / B.Tech / BCA / MCA or equivalent.
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, VLAN, Routing & Switching.
- Hands‑on experience with Cisco Switches & Routers.
- Experience with VLAN, Inter‑VLAN Routing, NAT, ACL, QoS, STP/RSTP.
- Experience with IPSec VPN.
- Firewall administration (Fortinet/Sophos preferred).
- Experience with Managed Switches (Cisco, HPE, Aruba, D‑Link).
- Knowledge of Windows Server and Active Directory (AD).
- Knowledge of VMware / Hyper‑V.
- Experience supporting enterprise Wi‑Fi and IP Telephony.
- Knowledge of CCTV networking and surveillance infrastructure.
- Strong troubleshooting and vendor management skills.
Nice to have
- Experience working in Manufacturing/Plant IT environments.
- Exposure to enterprise security infrastructure.
- Experience managing networks supporting 200+ users.
- Good documentation and communication skills.
- CCNA Certification.
