The Engineering Manager role involves owning Meesho’s compute and network platform, managing engineers, ensuring system uptime, and driving scalable, high-performance infrastructure solutions in a dynamic, innovative engineering culture.
Responsibilities
- Own Meesho’s compute and network Platform
- Perform regular performance evaluations and share and seek feedback with the team members
- Conduct regular meetings to plan and develop reports on project progress
- Collaborate with the product-engineering and architect counterparts to innovate on new features on platform
- Manage engineers and take ownership of projects while ensuring product scalability
- Own and maintain the uptime of Meesho tech systems
- Analyse other employees’ tasks and carry on collaborations effectively
- Transform newbies into experts and build reports on the progress of all projects
- Ensure consistency and quality by shaping the right strategies
- Keep an eye on all engineering projects and ensure all duties are fulfilled
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science
- At least 9+ years of professional experience
- Minimum 2 years of experience managing (around 10 member) software development teams
- Ability to drive projects in accordance with OKRs
- Exceptional team management skills and experience in running large complex projects with clear articulation to leadership
- Experience in handling and leading teams across any of SRE/AIOps and Platform
- Deep understanding of containerisation and Automation of infrastructure (Kubernetes, Terraform)
- Good understanding of programming languages (Python or GO)
- Strong expertise in handling at scale infrastructure with high stability, uptime, and cost effectiveness
- Deep expertise in building scalable platforms, on cloud or on-prem

- Experience on public clouds like GCP or AWS
