Rippling is seeking a Senior Software Engineering Manager to lead the Employment Products team, overseeing global expansion and shaping product architecture. The role combines technical leadership, product development, and cross‑functional collaboration to build scalable, extensible HR, IT, and Finance solutions.
Responsibilities
- Serve as a key owner of Global Expansion efforts for Employment Products.
- Shape and influence the overall architecture of the Employment Products.
- Make pragmatic technical decisions that will drastically shape the future of the products.
- Build and deliver scalable products end‑to‑end, overseeing both small and large‑scale projects.
- Set up product roadmaps, define milestones, and drive outcomes to execution.
- Lead and mentor engineering teams, fostering high‑ownership environments.
- Collaborate closely with cross‑functional teams and stakeholders globally, including teams in India.
- Communicate clearly with distributed teams and stakeholders.
- Ensure products are technically designed for scalability, extensibility, and reliability.
Requirements
- Total experience of 8–15 years (individual contributor + managerial).
- Minimum of 5 years in a managerial role leading engineering teams.
- 7–8 years of prior experience as an Individual Contributor.
- Hands‑on product development experience building scalable products end‑to‑end.
- Proven ability to define and deliver both small and large‑scale projects.
- Strong stakeholder collaboration skills across global teams.
- Execution‑oriented mindset with experience setting roadmaps and milestones.
- Solid technical foundation sufficient to guide and review engineering work.
- Excellent communication skills, especially with distributed teams.
- Ability to work in‑office at least three days per week (for employees within a defined radius).
