The MEP Design Manager based in Vadodara, Gujarat will lead coordination and quality of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, firefighting, and utility design deliverables for industrial and commercial projects. This hands‑on leadership role involves reviewing drawings, calculations, specifications, managing schedules, BIM coordination, and mentoring engineers to ensure compliant, buildable outputs aligned with client expectations, project timelines, and standards.
Responsibilities
- Lead coordination of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, firefighting, and utility system design so all disciplines move in one direction and deliver coordinated outputs that reduce clashes, delays, and redesign effort.
- Review and approve drawings, layouts, engineering calculations, and technical specifications so design decisions stay technically sound, compliant, and ready for client and project execution use.
- Manage schedules, deliverable tracking, and resource allocation so engineering output remains on time, priorities stay clear, and the team can meet project commitments without bottlenecks.
- Coordinate with architects, structural engineers, BIM teams, clients, consultants, and execution teams so technical interfaces are resolved early and design decisions translate cleanly into delivery.
- Review BOQs, equipment schedules, load calculations, and engineering documentation so commercial and technical completeness are maintained before submission and procurement stages.
- Conduct design reviews, resolve technical issues, and support value engineering so the team improves constructability, optimizes design quality, and reduces avoidable project cost or risk.
- Oversee BIM coordination and clash detection so multidisciplinary models stay aligned, conflicts are identified early, and downstream rework is minimized across industrial and commercial projects.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to engineers, designers, and BIM modelers so the team builds capability, maintains quality standards, and delivers engineering work with greater consistency.
