We are looking for a Linux DevOps Engineer with strong Linux administration expertise complemented by DevOps automation experience. The role is heavily focused on Linux infrastructure administration, security hardening, patching, automation, CI/CD, monitoring, and production troubleshooting.
Responsibilities
- Administer, monitor, and troubleshoot enterprise Linux infrastructure across production environments.
- Perform Linux server provisioning, patching, upgrades, security hardening, and vulnerability remediation.
- Design golden image pipelines using Packer, Kickstart, PXE, and security hardening practices.
- Build and maintain Infrastructure as Code using Ansible and Terraform with version-controlled workflows.
- Develop and manage CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, or equivalent tools.
- Automate provisioning, configuration deployment, patching, decommissioning, compliance checks, and validation activities.
- Troubleshoot complex Linux issues related to NFS, kernel, SSH, networking, storage, server hardware, and system performance.
- Implement monitoring, observability, and synthetic monitoring to identify issues before business impact.
- Collaborate with development, networking, security, and IT teams for application deployments and infrastructure lifecycle management.
- Create and maintain documentation, runbooks, architecture notes, and root cause analysis reports.
Requirements
- 6+ years of strong Linux Administration experience with DevOps engineering exposure.
- Strong hands-on expertise in RHEL, CentOS, Rocky Linux, or equivalent Linux environments.
- Deep understanding of Linux patching, security hardening, least privilege, defense-in-depth, and vulnerability response workflows.
- Hands-on experience with Ansible, Ansible Tower, Terraform, Shell scripting, and Python automation.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines, Git-based workflows, branching, code review, and infrastructure deployment automation.
- Strong troubleshooting skills across CPU, memory, disk, load average, NFS, SFTP, SSH, iostat, and performance bottlenecks.
- Working knowledge of AWS services such as EC2, CloudWatch, S3, EBS, OpenSearch, or similar cloud services.
- Experience with monitoring tools and operational observability platforms.
- Good understanding of containers, Kubernetes, Docker, secrets management, and automation practices.
- Excellent communication, ownership, documentation, and stakeholder collaboration skills.
