At TTEC Digital, we coach clients to ensure their employees feel valued and fully supported, as an amazing customer experience is an employee-first process. Our vision is a place where employees know they can thrive. TTEC Digital seeks a Senior DevOps Engineer to join our innovation group, building next-generation AI CX tools (automated QA, conversational analytics, knowledge assist, and agentic automation) for global brands. This is a full-time, fully remote role in a fast-paced, startup-like environment backed by the scale of a public company (NASDAQ: TTEC). The role offers high leverage, as shipping the right products can impact enterprise deployments, company trajectory, and stock value.
Responsibilities
- Stand up and run the platform's infrastructure — CI/CD, multi-cloud, observability baselines, the daily-deploy pipeline
- Support a real-time platform (voice, desktop, intelligence, AI) where latency and uptime are product features
- Work in a startup environment: 1-week sprints, weekly deploys to production, fail fast, move forward
- Own CI/CD (trunk-based, daily prod deploys, PR-to-staging)
- Implement Infrastructure-as-code for everything — no hand-built anything
- Deploy and manage GCP (primary) with cloud-agnostic deployment templates for multi-cloud
- Establish observability and monitoring baselines
- Treat uptime as a personal mission
- Participate in on-call rotation with the SRE team
- Meet committed timelines
- Act as a ways-to-YES engineer — default to 'here's how we do it safely' when a squad needs something, never a block
- Demo infrastructure as part of a show-me mentality
- Use AI tools daily to multiply velocity
Requirements
- 7+ years of DevOps / platform experience
- Deep GCP expertise plus real multi-cloud experience — deployed and run production workloads on at least two clouds and built abstractions that keep us portable
- Strong Infrastructure-as-Code mentality — Terraform-class IaC is how everything exists; if it isn’t in code, it isn’t real (reviewable, repeatable, destroyable, rebuildable)
- Experience running infra for a daily-deploy, trunk-based shop; CI/CD for high-cadence teams is muscle memory
- Ability to code — Go or Python tooling, not just YAML
- Good networking understanding — protocols and how they actually work: TCP/UDP, TLS, HTTP/2, WebSocket, DNS, load balancing, and ideally RTP/SIP for media paths; debug at the packet level when necessary
- Strong mindset on monitoring and uptime — metrics, logs, traces, alerting baselines from day one; notice issues before the customer does
- GitOps discipline — desired state in git, drift detection, PR-driven infra change
- Deploy safety engineering — canary/progressive rollout, feature-flag integration, instant rollback; weekly deploys stay boring
- Kubernetes/container depth (GKE-class) — scheduling, autoscaling, resource tuning for latency-sensitive services
- Secrets and least-privilege IAM as defaults; SOC 2-ready posture without slowing the train
- Cost awareness — catch runaway bills in the dashboard, not the invoice; efficiency is part of the job
- Ephemeral environments — spin up a full stack per PR/demo, tear it down after
- Debug infrastructure — read deploy logs, metric spikes, routing tables, and identify issues
- Self-starter with grit, startup mentality, and a show-me bias: working software over slides, prototypes over proposals
- Master debugger and problem solver — love solving complex problems, think outside the box, multitask across domains without losing the thread
- AI-native — understand and work with AI technology (LLMs, SLMs, RAG, knowledge graphs, agents, training, eval) and use AI tools daily to increase velocity
- Distributed-systems literate — understand high-efficiency, event-driven, low-latency systems and their demands
- Innovator who ships — demonstrate ideas easily, fail fast, move forward, make and hit committed timelines
- Team player who likes winning
