We are seeking a skilled SD-WAN Engineer/Network Engineer/Architect to design, implement, and support enterprise network infrastructure with a focus on Software-Defined Wide Area Networking (SD-WAN). The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Cisco SD-WAN (Viptela), VMware VeloCloud, or Fortinet SD-WAN, along with strong expertise in routing, switching, network security, and WAN technologies. The role involves network design, deployment, troubleshooting, optimization, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to deliver secure and scalable networking solutions.
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, configure, and support SD-WAN solutions across enterprise environments.
- Deploy and manage Cisco SD-WAN (Viptela), VMware VeloCloud, or Fortinet SD-WAN platforms.
- Configure and troubleshoot routing protocols including BGP, OSPF, and static routing.
- Implement and maintain VPN/IPSec tunnels, MPLS, LAN, and WAN connectivity.
- Monitor network performance and ensure high availability, scalability, and security.
- Configure and troubleshoot network devices such as routers, switches, firewalls, and SD-WAN edge devices.
- Work with Cisco DNA Center or similar network automation and management platforms.
- Perform root cause analysis and resolve network incidents in production environments.
- Collaborate with security, cloud, infrastructure, and application teams for network integration.
- Maintain technical documentation, network diagrams, SOPs, and operational procedures.
- Ensure compliance with network security standards and industry best practices.
- Participate in network upgrades, migrations, capacity planning, and disaster recovery activities.
- For senior candidates, lead network architecture, solution design, technical reviews, and mentor junior engineers.
Requirements
- Experience: 3–15 Years
- Strong experience with Cisco SD-WAN (Viptela), VMware VeloCloud, or Fortinet SD-WAN.
- Solid understanding of routing protocols such as BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, and static routing.
- Hands-on experience with VPN/IPSec, MPLS, LAN, WAN, and network segmentation.
- Knowledge of Cisco DNA Center and network automation concepts.
- Experience with network security technologies including firewalls, ACLs, NAT, and secure remote access.
- Strong troubleshooting skills across enterprise network environments.
- Familiarity with network monitoring and performance management tools.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronics & Communication, or a related field.
Nice to have
- Experience with cloud networking (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud).
- Knowledge of SDN, network automation, Python, Ansible, or REST APIs.
- Experience with Cisco Catalyst, Nexus, Meraki, Palo Alto, or Fortinet solutions.
- Understanding of Zero Trust, SASE, and modern enterprise networking architectures.
- Industry certifications such as CCNA, CCNP Enterprise, CCIE Enterprise Infrastructure, VMware VCP-NV, Fortinet NSE, or equivalent are an added advantage.
- Strong customer-facing and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work independently and in a collaborative team environment.
- Excellent communication, documentation, and troubleshooting abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Willingness to learn emerging networking technologies and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
