We have an exciting opportunity for a DevOps Engineer to join our Digital Technology team at Harrods. This role is responsible for supporting and maintaining all production and non-production application environments across the digital estate, as well as owning and managing all associated deployment pipelines. The DevOps Engineer will collaborate with various teams across Harrods, including the wider IT function and third-party technology partners, to ensure seamless service while prioritizing monitoring, security, and performance.
Responsibilities
- Maintaining/Triaging incidents/requests and complex problems in Harrods ITSM tool and work Queue
- Improving, building, and supporting the deployment pipelines across all environments
- Coordinating with the Test Manager to ensure releases are planned and deployed on schedule
- Supports the agile process by effectively breaking down user stories into manageable tasks
- Supporting the sprint refinement sessions and highlighting missed requirements and areas that need to be analysed and included
- Learning about new tools and processes and generally keeping up-to-date with technological advances
- Seeking opportunities to share knowledge and encouraging others to research or learn
Requirements
- Hands-on experience in cloud technologies (SaaS, PaaS, IaaS, Serverless, Containerization, Low code and automation)
- Previous experience in writing and deploying Infrastructure-as-code configurations
- Experience or Knowledge of using Azure Cloud
- Knowledge of using Azure DevOps or Jira
- Knowledge or Experience of ITIL (managing Incidents, Change & requests)
- Knowledge or Experience of IAC (Terraform / Pulumi)
- Experience with Core Infrastructure and Networking using Cloud or On-Prem Servers
