Responsibilities

Design, develop and maintain scalable backend services using C# and .NET/.NET Core.
Develop and enhance microservices powering high-traffic gaming platforms.
Build clean, maintainable and well-tested APIs and backend components.
Participate in the full software development lifecycle, from design and implementation to code reviews, testing and deployment.
Troubleshoot, analyse and resolve production issues, focusing on root-cause analysis.
Collaborate closely with Product Managers, QA Engineers, DevOps and other Software Engineers.
Contribute to architectural discussions and continuous improvement initiatives.
Write unit and integration tests to ensure software quality and reliability.
Support the migration of legacy components to modern microservice-based architecture where applicable.
Participate in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups and retrospectives.

Requirements

4+ years of commercial experience with C# and .NET/.NET Core.
Strong knowledge of ASP.NET Core and Web API.
Experience building scalable backend services and distributed systems.
Solid understanding of REST APIs.
Experience with relational databases, such as MS SQL Server or similar.
Familiarity with Git and CI/CD practices.
Strong debugging and problem-solving skills.
Good understanding of object-oriented design principles and design patterns.
Ability to communicate effectively in English.

Nice to have

Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
Experience with Kafka or other message brokers.
Experience with Redis.
Experience with gRPC, WCF or legacy .NET Framework applications.
Experience with Dapper or Entity Framework.
Experience with TDD and automated testing.
Experience with cloud platforms such as Azure or AWS.
Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies and working in Agile teams.
Experience with iGaming, betting, lottery or other high-availability transactional systems.
