The Nutanix Cloud Manager (NCM) team, specifically the NCM–Intelligent OPS team, builds next-generation platforms to help enterprises model, develop, and manage applications across hybrid multi-cloud environments. The team drives capabilities such as data ingestion, observability, capacity planning, AI-infra monitoring, agent-powered troubleshooting, dashboards, search, and predictive analysis across infrastructure and application layers, leveraging Agentic AI for proactive detection and automation in Kubernetes-based environments.
Responsibilities
- Lead and grow a team of 6–10 engineers, balancing technical depth with management responsibilities
- Own technical direction and execution, translating product vision into scalable architecture and high-quality deliverables
- Participate directly in system design reviews, coding reviews, and technical interviews
- Establish and refine engineering processes, including requirements, coding standards, and release maintenance
- Partner with Product Management to align engineering deliverables with business outcomes
- Drive operational excellence in observability, infrastructure monitoring, and application analytics
Requirements
- 9–14 years of overall experience with at least 2-4 years in an engineering management or technical leadership role
- Strong background in backend engineering, preferably in virtualization or cloud infrastructure
- Solid hands-on experience with distributed systems, Kubernetes, and Virtualization
- Working knowledge of virtualization platforms such as VMware, KVM, or Hyper-V
- Proven ability to guide teams working in Go, Java, Python or similar systems programming languages
- Experience building and operating software on Linux-based systems
- Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate across functions and influence stakeholders
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field (required)
