Role overview
The BizFin team at Meesho is a close‑knit, high‑performing group made up of professionals from Big 4 consulting, FMCG giants, and top‑tier investment firms, including Chartered Accountants, MBAs, business specialists, and former investment bankers. As Director – Business Finance, you will lead this finance team, partner with the Business function, and work with CXOs to shape capital allocation, growth, and profitability strategies across Meesho’s ecosystem.
Responsibilities
- Lead the finance team and partner with the Business function to strategize, enable capital allocation, drive growth and optimization.
- Ensure governance and controllership standards are best in class.
- Collaborate with CXOs to drive prioritization and decision‑making around growth and profitability.
- Guide a team of expert finance professionals in problem discovery, implementation of complex business solutions, and act as a challenger and co‑pilot in leadership‑level decisions.
- Manage business development activities in accordance with the financial plan.
- Adjust financial plans and budget amounts in response to changes in business plans.
- Provide financial support and advice to management for closing business deals and formulating short, medium, and long‑term strategies.
