Role overview
We are seeking an experienced Network Engineer with 8-10 years of hands‑on experience in enterprise network infrastructure. The ideal candidate should have expertise in configuring, deploying, and supporting LAN, WAN, WLAN, and Data Center networks, along with strong knowledge of routing, switching, and Cisco network security technologies. The role involves network administration, troubleshooting, performance optimization, and implementing secure, highly available network solutions.
Responsibilities
- Configure, deploy, and maintain LAN, WAN, WLAN, and Data Center network infrastructure.
- Configure and troubleshoot routing protocols including BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, and RIP.
- Implement and support Layer 2 & Layer 3 switching technologies, including VLANs, STP / RSTP / MST, EtherChannel, VTP, and Inter‑VLAN Routing.
- Monitor network performance, availability, and capacity to ensure optimal operations.
- Perform root cause analysis and resolve network incidents within defined SLAs.
- Plan and execute network changes, upgrades, migrations, and maintenance activities.
- Configure and manage network security features such as Access Control Lists (ACLs), Port Security, Network Segmentation, and Cisco Firepower Threat Defense (FTD).
- Collaborate with security, infrastructure, and application teams to ensure reliable network connectivity.
- Maintain network documentation, topology diagrams, and standard operating procedures.
- Participate in on‑call support, incident management, and scheduled maintenance activities.
Requirements
- 8-10 years of enterprise networking experience.
- Strong expertise in LAN, WAN, WLAN, and Data Center networking.
- Hands‑on experience with Cisco Routing & Switching.
- Strong knowledge of BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, RIP.
- Experience with Layer 2 & Layer 3 switching technologies.
- Experience with Cisco Network Security including ACLs, Port Security, and Network Segmentation.
- Strong troubleshooting and performance optimization skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Nice to have
- Exposure to Cisco Firepower Threat Defense (FTD) and SD‑WAN is preferred.
- Cisco SD‑WAN.
- Cisco Firepower (FTD).
- Cisco Catalyst & Nexus Switches.
- Network Monitoring Tools (SolarWinds, PRTG, Cisco DNA Center, etc.).
- CCNP or CCIE certification (Preferred).
