Role overview

UX Designers in Engagement Platforms, Rewards & Partner Ecosystems independently own end-to-end design for features and flows across the supplier-facing and platform side of the domain — defining problems clearly, designing user-centred solutions, and contributing to outcomes that matter to customers and the business. Based in India within Tesco Technology, you will be embedded in the domain team, partnering with Product Managers, Engineers, UI Designers, Researchers, and the commercial and CRM teams who use the platforms. You will take craft direction from the Lead Designer for the domain and support from Senior UX Designers.

Responsibilities

  • Owning UX for defined features across partner experiences, orchestration tooling and engagement-mechanic configuration — from discovery through delivery, including flows, edge cases and accessibility.
  • Participating in discovery — journey mapping, prototyping, testing — and using insight to inform decisions.
  • Designing configuration and tooling features with awareness of how operator choices land in the customer experience.
  • Collaborating with UI Designers to translate UX intent into interface design.
  • Using data and qualitative insight to challenge assumptions, improve live tooling, and contribute to team OKRs.
  • Sharing work early, seeking feedback, and participating actively in critique.

Requirements

  • Portfolio demonstrating end-to-end UX work across digital products.
  • Strong understanding of human-centred design methods.
  • Ability to structure problems clearly and design coherent solutions, including for operational and configuration-heavy contexts.
  • Familiarity with evidence-driven design and research.
  • Experience collaborating in cross-functional teams, with a proactive, open approach to feedback.

Nice to have

  • Interest or experience in platforms, tooling or partner-facing products.

Benefits

  • 30 days of leave (18 days of Earned Leave, 12 days of Casual/Sick Leave) and 10 national and festival holidays, as per the company’s policy.
  • Statutory retirement benefits, with voluntary programmes like NPS and VPF available.
  • Medical insurance for colleagues and their family, including coverage for dependents such as parents or in-laws.
  • Mental health support through self-help tools, community groups, ally networks, face-to-face counselling, and more for colleagues and dependents.
  • One-to-one financial coaching at discounted rates, as well as salary advances on earned wages upon request.
  • Save As You Earn (SAYE) programme allowing colleagues to become Tesco shareholders through a structured 3-year savings plan.
  • Physical wellbeing facilities including a cricket pitch, football field, badminton and volleyball courts, and indoor games at the green campus.

  • Hybrid work model: 60% of the week in-person at office locations or local sites, with the rest remote.
  • Flexibility is a core part of the culture, with open conversations encouraged about accommodating individual needs.
