Graduate Software Engineer

Overview Graduate Software Engineer, Open Source and Linux Canonical is a leading provider of open source software and operating systems for enterprise and technology markets. Ubuntu is widely used across cloud, AI, data science, IoT, engineering, and enterprise platforms. Canonical is hiring 2025 and 2026 graduates into software engineering teams across the world. Engineers work on open source products and commercial systems using technologies such as Python, Golang, Rust, C/C++, JavaScript, and Bash. Teams contribute across the Linux stack, from firmware, kernels, and drivers to desktop applications, containers, Kubernetes clusters, and cloud infrastructure. Projects may involve security, cryptography, compilers, toolchains, packaging, or deep contributions to a focused codebase. Most engineering teams are home based and aligned by timezone across EMEA, APAC, and AMER regions. Engineers collaborate closely with mentors and peers through pair programming, issue tracking, and open source communities.
